SOTW - April

Forever Sing Your Praise - Canyon Hills Worship

This song made Song Of The Week on 1st April, starting off our 3rd month of Song Of The Week reminding us of God’s love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NLT)

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.”

Forever Sing Your Praise is a worship song that acknowledges God’s amazing love for us, the pure extravagance of it, and how God Himself is love. “You are always patient, You are always kind…” “You are ever faithful, You will never fail…” - using the words of the famous Corinthians verse. How can we not want to sing and worship a God who is all the characteristics of love “Standing in your presence I am so amazed, That the God of ages loves me and knows my name. I am undeserving still you gave me grace, Who am I that you would love me and take my place.” A reminder that God sent Jesus to die in our place and for our sins to be forgiven, THAT is how much He loves us!

Fear No More - Building 429

This song feature as Song Of The Week on 8th April

Deuteronomy 31:8 (NLT)

“Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

The title of this song is quite self explanatory, but the running theme through this song is about how we have no need to fear when God is by our side.  As people who are living in the world that we are in today, this is an important thing to remember and keep fresh in our minds as Christians.

† (just the cross) - Influencers Worship

This song made Song Of The Week on 15th April. This was the Holy Week addition to our Song Of The Week running up to the great celebration of Easter.

John 19:18 (NLT)

“There they nailed him to the cross. Two others were crucified with him, one of either side, with Jesus between them.”

Just The Cross is an Easter based banger that tells the story from Jesus carrying the cross to His crucifixion “Oh the cross upon Your shoulders, Oh Your love for all mankind, Every step that You were taking, was a step in place of mine”, to when the He won the battle for us rising from the dead and conquering death. “You are alive, our risen King, Your love is stronger than the grave, Now on the throne, seated on high. Yours is the victory”.

Praises - Darris Sneed

This song made Song Of The Week 22nd April. Lifting our praises high into the beginning of the week.

Psalm 146:1-2 (NLT)

“Praise the Lord! Let all that I am praise the Lord. I will praise the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God as long as I live.”

It has been described as joyful declaration of praise to our King. This was a great upbeat addition to our Song Of The Week collection, bringing together a gospel pop fusion and reminding us of how the Bible tells us to always Praise our Lord as he is worthy of it all!

Never Let Me Down - Mosaic MSC

This song made Song Of The Week 29th April. This helped start the week on a note a hope and faithfulness.
1 Peter 5:10 (NLT)

“In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.”

This hopeful song started our week with Endless Hallelujahs of God’s promise to us of Him never letting us down and His love for us taking us from our past, through the present and into our futures.
